If you are having trouble getting greater than 130 - and you have set your WRT310N to use WIDE CHANNEL on the wireless settings page (40Mhz) and are still only getting 130Mbps - you most likely have a client issue The build DOE make a difference - (LLB take note) especailly when it comes to N support. I use the latest DD-WRT on my WRT310N and have full 270Mbps support running rock solid N speeds give 270Mbps if your client is capable of wide band (40Mhz) or 130Mbps if the client uses standard 20Mhz channel width. That is a technology that combines returned signal from 3 antenna.

Make sure you have the latest driver for the Intel 5300AGN I could be wrong (as i dont have N hardware) but i want to say that 270 requires mimo, which if either of your hardware isnt then you wont get 270. Just because you have the latest build doesn't mean you have the best build. Should I expect better speeds than 65 or 130mbps? I have seen people report 270.but it that hypothetical? Intel wifi cards have problems, especially when using their crap "pro" software rather than using WZC Is this a known issue with my hardware? based on the errors that the router was giving out i would think its a router issue.

Make sure you have the latest drivers and Dell connect program. 65Mbps is what I am getting but I still don't know why it won't work with security and at a higher rate. And I cannot get a very good wireless rate. So for the moment that is working and I am using MAC Filtering but still the main problem is there. I have gotten the Wireless N to work but only if I turn off all security and leave it unsecured. My WIFI card is an Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN that is built into my Latitude E5500. I have tried a bunch of channels with no sucess. I have been playing around with this for a few hours now and thought that someone out there might have the solution. But I am showing that I am in AP Mode, Network Mode N-Only, Channel 8, TX Power 70mW, Rate 270Mbps, Encryption Enabled WPA2 Personal. I have Tried WEP and WPA2 Personal with no success.Īlso for some reason when I go into N-Only, on the Status -> Wireless screen.I have only Transmission Errors and nothing else is counting up.
But once I change the mode to "N-Only", regardless of any other setting I cannot connect to the router.
